Vesemir is the oldest known witcher in the game and has survived generations of monster hunting. His exact age has never been officially confirmed, but most estimates place him at around 150 years old. Vesemir trained Geralt, Eskel, Lambert, and countless others at Kaer Morhen. He carries the wisdom of a dying profession and remains one of the most respected oldest characters in Witcher 3. His death remains one of the most emotional moments in the game.
8. Philippa Eilhart – Around 300 Years Old
Philippa Eilhart is one of the oldest known sorceresses alive in the game and has spent centuries manipulating kingdoms from behind the scenes. She helped create the Lodge of Sorceresses and has influenced major political events for decades. Philippa Eilhart is feared because of both her cunning and magical power. 7. Dettlaff van der Eretein – Between 300 – 400 years
Dettlaff van der Eretein may appear emotional and impulsive like a child, but he is still an ancient higher vampire. His exact age is unknown, though higher vampires often live for centuries. Since Regis is over 400 years old, and Detlaff is apparently younger than Regis, we can estimate he is between 300 and 400 years old, though he can take the appearance of a man in his early 40s. Depending on your choices, Dettlaff van der Eretein can become one of Geralt’s deadliest enemies in Blood and Wine. His monstrous transformation shows just how dangerous higher vampires can be. 6. Orianna -Between 300 – 400 years
Orianna initially appears elegant and charming in Toussaint, but depending on your choices, you might end up learning that there is something deeply disturbing about her and her orphanage. Orianna secretly feeds on blood while maintaining a sophisticated public image. Her orphanage storyline made many players uncomfortable. That makes her one of the creepiest characters in Witcher 3, not just oldest.
Although not a full higher vampire, she is a very old and experienced Bruxae, and she is nearly as old as Regis himself, which puts her age at around 400 years or so.
5. Regis – Over 400 Years Old
Regis is one of the most beloved and respected characters in Blood and Wine. He is among Geralt’s closest friends who was crushed to near-death by the wizard Vilgefortz while fighting alnogside the White Wolf. Yeras later, he was revived by Detlaff and we meet him in Witcher 3 Blood and Wine.

4. Avallac’h – Over 400 years old
Avallac’h was alive during the era of Lara Dorren, which immediately makes him incredibly old. He has spent centuries studying Elder Blood and alternate worlds. Avallac’h plays a major role in helping Ciri fight the White Frost. His knowledge often feels unmatched.
However, players have mixed feeling about Avallac’h as although he is shown to be taking care of Ciri, his intentions are far different from Geralt and his allies. And yeah, the twist we see at the end shocks all of us.
3. Eredin Bréacc Glas – Over 1000 years old
Eredin Bréacc Glas is the King of the Wild Hunt himself, whom we fight at the end of Witcher 3’s base game. Eredin is a very powerful leader and has led the Wild Hunt for centuries and conquered multiple worlds. As an Aen Elle elf, his lifespan far exceeds humans.
Eredin Bréacc Glas spent years hunting Ciri for her Elder Blood powers. The Crones are among the most horrifying villains in the game, who are truly despicable. This is why the boss fight against them as Ciri feels quite satisfying.
