PlayStation State of Play 2026 delivered massive reveals, shocking surprises including cinematic games, horror experiences, and long-awaited announcements that instantly took over gaming discussions worldwide.

PlayStation State of Play 2026 turned out to be far bigger than many fans expected. What initially looked like another routine showcase quickly became one of Sony’s most exciting gaming events in recent years, filled with surprising reveals that instantly took over gaming discussions online.

The showcase featured more than 20 game announcements, gameplay trailers, and updates across multiple genres. Some games impressed fans with stunning visuals and brutal combat, while others relied on nostalgia, atmosphere, and shocking reveals to steal the spotlight. PlayStation State of Play 2026 also proved that Sony still understands how to build hype, especially when it comes to cinematic storytelling and blockbuster experiences.

While not every trailer generated the same level of excitement, a handful of reveals clearly stood above the rest and became the main talking points of the event. Here are the top 10 biggest reveals from PlayStation State of Play 2026, ranked from least exciting to the absolute biggest showstopper.

10. ILL

ILL became one of the most disturbing reveals from PlayStation State of Play 2026 thanks to its brutal body horror, realistic physics, and terrifying creature animations. The trailer focused heavily on atmosphere and gore, instantly grabbing the attention of horror fans online. While ILL may not be the biggest AAA game from the event, it easily became one of the most unforgettable reveals because of how uncomfortable and realistic everything looked.

9. Control Resonant

Control Resonant brought players back into Remedy’s strange supernatural universe with another stylish and mysterious reveal. The trailer featured bizarre environments, cinematic visuals, and paranormal action that immediately reminded fans why the original became so popular. Control Resonant also generated excitement because it has been seven years since the release of the first game, and many fans have been waiting years to see Jesse Faden return in a major new story. The game is releasing on September 24, 2026.

8. Dune: Awakening

The trailer for Dune: Awakening impressed players with its massive open-world desert environments and survival gameplay mechanics. PlayStation State of Play 2026 gave fans a deeper look at the game based on the popular sci-fi franchise. Dune: Awakening already had strong hype before the event, but the new gameplay footage made the project look far more ambitious than many expected. The game is releasing on September 22, 2026.

7. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis finally gave fans another cinematic look at Lara Croft’s next adventure. The trailer combined ancient mythology, dangerous exploration, and large action sequences that immediately captured attention during PlayStation State of Play 2026. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis also benefits from the massive popularity of the franchise, making it one of the showcase’s biggest mainstream reveals. The game is releasing on 25th September.

6. Onimusha: Way of the Sword

The trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword proved that Capcom is serious about reviving the legendary action franchise in a major way. The gameplay shown during PlayStation State of Play 2026 featured brutal sword combat, cinematic duels, and dark supernatural enemies. Onimusha: Way of the Sword also gained extra attention because the developers released a playable demo shortly after the showcase. The game is coming on 25th September, 2026.

5. Silent Hill: Townfall

The popular Silent Hill franchise returns with another title! Silent Hill: Townfall finally returned with new gameplay footage and a release date reveal, making it one of the most anticipated horror games from PlayStation State of Play 2026. The trailer focused heavily on psychological horror, disturbing imagery, and an eerie atmosphere that perfectly matched the franchise’s legacy. Silent Hill: Townfall instantly became one of the showcase’s biggest talking points among horror fans. The game is releasing on September 24, 2026.

4. Phantom Blade Zero

Phantom Blade Zero once again proved why it is one of the most visually impressive action games currently in development. The fast-paced combat, stylish animations, and cinematic presentation shown during PlayStation State of Play 2026 generated massive excitement online. Phantom Blade Zero also stood out because Sony announced that the game will receive a dedicated future showcase, showing how important the project has become. The game is set to release on September 9, 2026.

3. Until Dawn 2

Until Dawn 2 was one of the biggest surprise reveals from PlayStation State of Play 2026, as the sequel is coming 12 years after the release of the original game. The original game became a cult favorite because of its cinematic storytelling, branching choices, and memorable horror moments, which is why fans have wanted a sequel for years. Although The Quarry was sort of a spiritual sequel, now the hype is bigger as Until Dawn 2 is a proper official sequel and it instantly generated huge reactions online as players began speculating about the new cast, story, and possible connections to the first game. The game is set to release in 2027.

2. God of War Laufey

God of War Laufey shocked fans by shifting the spotlight toward Faye, one of the franchise’s most mysterious characters. For months, players have been hearing about a new game featuring Faye, but now players got a 23 minute gameplay trailer which featured Kratos’s wife in brutal combat. Its visuals immediately made it one of the biggest reveals from PlayStation State of Play 2026. God of War Laufey also sparked major discussion because many players never expected Sony to explore this part of the God of War universe so soon.

1. Marvel’s Wolverine

Marvel’s Wolverine completely stole the show at PlayStation State of Play 2026 where players got a 7 minute gameplay trailer showing the game’s brutal fights and cinematic presentation. Sony showcased several minutes of intense combat, showcasing Wolverine’s savage fighting style and darker tone compared to many other superhero games. Marvel’s Wolverine also dominated social media discussions after the event, with many fans calling it the strongest and most exciting reveal from the entire showcase.

Interestingly, despite being a PlayStation showcase, most of the games shown during PlayStation State of Play 2026 were not actual PS5 exclusives. Titles like Marvel’s Wolverine and God of War Laufey remain the biggest confirmed PlayStation exclusives from the event, while games such as Phantom Blade Zero, Dune: Awakening, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword are also releasing on other platforms. Until Dawn 2 is currently announced only for PS5, but a PC release is expected in the near future.

The Fable Reboot delayed news shocked fans, but Xbox may be making a smart move. Here’s why 2026 could have been too crowded for the RPG.

The Fable Reboot delayed news shocked fans, but Xbox may be making a smart move. Here’s why 2026 could have been too crowded for the RPG.

The Fable reboot has officially been delayed to February 2027, and while many gamers instantly blamed Grand Theft Auto VI, the real reason may be far more complicated. According to Xbox, the game itself is in “great shape,” but the company wants the RPG to launch in a better release window instead of getting buried under one of the most crowded gaming years in recent memory.

The delay has disappointed fans who were hoping to finally return to Albion in 2026. However, after looking at the bigger picture, the decision actually starts to make sense.

The Fable Reboot Delayed News Explained

Microsoft originally planned to release the Fable reboot in Fall 2026. Now, the game has officially moved to February 2027.

Xbox executives stated that the extra time is not because the project is struggling internally. Instead, they reportedly want the game to have “a window all to itself.” That statement immediately triggered discussions online because many players interpreted it as a direct attempt to avoid GTA 6.

Honestly, that assumption is understandable. Whenever Rockstar releases a new game, the entire gaming industry shifts around it. Social media discussions, YouTube content, Twitch streams, gaming news coverage, and even player spending habits start revolving around that single title.

But the situation with the Fable reboot delayed announcement may go beyond simply avoiding Rockstar’s giant.

GTA 6 Is Not The Only Threat

Fable and GTA VI do not completely share the same audience. One is a fantasy RPG filled with magic, humor, medieval action and storytelling, while the other is a modern open-world crime experience designed for a massive mainstream audience.

However, GTA 6 affects attention itself.

Even many players who normally prefer RPGs will likely spend weeks or months exploring Rockstar’s world simply because of the cultural hype surrounding the release. That alone could reduce visibility for other major games launching nearby. Still, there is another major issue that many people are ignoring: 2026 is becoming packed with huge RPGs.

Crimson Desert is generating a lot of hype since the last few months, and it is obvious that players aren’t going to stop playing it anytime soon. But then, releasing on 5th June, the Gothic 1 Remake is already attracting old-school RPG fans who grew up with classic European role-playing games. Meanwhile, The Blood of Dawnwalker has generated massive curiosity because it is being developed by former CD Projekt Red developers connected to The Witcher 3. And then, how can we forget Phantom Blade Zero, which is coming out just 6 days later after Dawnwalker.

These games may not reach GTA VI-level popularity, but they absolutely compete for the same hardcore RPG audience that Fable wants to capture.

RPGs Compete For Time More Than Sales

Unlike shorter action games, giant RPGs demand serious time investment from players. Many of these experiences can easily last 60, 80, or even 100 hours depending on exploration and side content.

That creates a different type of competition.Players may buy multiple games eventually, but they usually focus on one massive RPG at a time. Launching too close to Gothic 1 Remake, The Blood of Dawnwalker, or other large RPGs could hurt Fable’s momentum and online discussion.

The Fable reboot delayed decision may therefore be more about giving the game breathing room rather than escaping one specific title.

Xbox Cannot Afford To Fail With Fable

There is also enormous pressure attached to this project.

Fable is one of Xbox’s most beloved franchises, and fans have waited years for its return. Expectations are already extremely high, especially because Playground Games is mainly known for the Forza Horizon series rather than fantasy RPGs.

If the reboot launches in a crowded season and feels rushed, criticism would be brutal.

Modern gamers have become increasingly unforgiving toward unfinished AAA releases, and Xbox likely understands that better than anyone after several difficult launches over the past few years.

Because of that, delaying the game to February 2027 could actually benefit the project in the long run. The Fable reboot delayed news may frustrate fans today, but if the extra time helps Xbox deliver a polished and memorable RPG, the wait could be worth it.

After years of mediocre or forgotten James Bond games, 007 First Light has arrived with something fans honestly did not expect: genuine excitement. Developed by IO Interactive, the studio behind the massively successful Hitman World of Assassination trilogy, the game is already receiving strong praise for its cinematic storytelling, stealth-action gameplay, and authentic Bond atmosphere.

And no, this is not just “Hitman reskinned.” The game seems to have its own identity, blending espionage, action, gadgets, stealth, and blockbuster spectacle into something that feels closer to a playable Bond movie.

1. IO Interactive Has Already Proven Themselves With Hitman

This is probably the biggest reason to trust the game. IO Interactive spent years refining stealth, infiltration, disguises, level design, and espionage gameplay through the Hitman World of Assassination trilogy, as well as the older Hitman games. And we all know how Hitman is considered one of the most respected stealth franchises in gaming.

Instead of giving Bond to a random studio chasing nostalgia, the license went to developers who genuinely understand stealth and spy gameplay. Even critics and previews repeatedly mention that 007 First Light takes lessons from Hitman while evolving beyond it into a more cinematic experience like the Uncharted games.

That alone gives the project far more credibility than most movie-based games.

2. It Feels Like A Real James Bond Adventure Again

A lot of older Bond games focused mostly on shooting. First Light seems far more interested in making you actually feel like Bond.

You infiltrate locations, manipulate conversations, use gadgets, gather intelligence, escape dangerous situations, and rely on charm as much as combat. Reviews specifically praise the “social espionage” aspects and the way the game captures the Bond fantasy beyond simple gunfights.

The game also explores a younger and more reckless Bond before he fully becomes the legendary 007 agent. That gives the story room for character growth instead of simply copying old movies.

3. The Cinematic Presentation Looks Insanely Expensive

One thing almost everyone agrees on is that the game looks and feels premium.

The environments, motion capture, cutscenes, music, and performances reportedly feel closer to a major blockbuster than a typical stealth game.

There are huge action set pieces inspired by franchises like Uncharted, alongside smoother hand-to-hand combat similar by the Batman Arkham games.

Honestly, from the footage alone, this might be one of the most cinematic spy games ever made.

4. It Balances Stealth And Action Better Than Hitman

This part may actually attract people who never fully enjoyed Hitman.

One common criticism of Hitman is that getting caught can feel like failure. In 007 First Light, IO Interactive reportedly designed the gameplay around “forward momentum,” meaning the game keeps flowing even when stealth breaks.

You can improvise, escape, fight back, smooth-talk your way out, or continue adapting to the situation instead of constantly restarting checkpoints.

Ironically, this may make 007 First Light more accessible to mainstream players who didn’t feel attracted to the gameplay in Hitman.

5. The Gameplay Encourages Creativity Instead Of Just Shooting

What makes 007 First Light stand out from many modern action games is that it does not force you into one playstyle.

You can sneak through areas quietly, manipulate NPCs, use gadgets, create distractions, engage in social infiltration, or go loud when things fall apart. Reviews suggest the missions are designed with multiple approaches in mind rather than feeling like a linear shooting gallery.

That flexibility is where IO Interactive’s Hitman experience really shows. The game reportedly rewards improvisation and experimentation, which makes missions feel more dynamic and replayable than standard cinematic action games.Instead of feeling like you are simply following scripted corridors, 007 First Light tries to make you think and adapt like an actual spy.

After the failure of 007 Legends in 2012, the James Bond franchise has basically been asleep for over a decade if we talk about the realm of gaming. So 007 First Light is not just another yearly franchise release. It is essentially a revival attempt for Bond games as a whole.

And from the early reception, IO Interactive may have actually pulled it off. Some reviewers are already calling it the best Bond game since GoldenEye.

Let us take a look at five We Know So Far About 007 First Light - the first modern AAA James Bond game

Let us take a look at Five Things We Know So Far About 007 First Light – the first modern AAA James Bond game

Is the new James Bond game just going to be another Hitman in disguise? That’s the question many players are asking as 007 First Light approaches release. With IO Interactive behind the project, expectations are high, but so are doubts. A Bond game carries a very different identity compared to stealth sandboxes, and fans are watching closely to see how this balance plays out. Many fans have labelled the game as “Hitman reskinned” after judging it from its first look. However, it might not be the case.

From gameplay structure to character direction, there is already enough information to form a clear picture about the upcoming James Bond game. Here are five key things we know so far about 007 First Light and what they actually mean for players.

1. This Is a Young, Untold Bond Story

One of the most important things we know so far about 007 First Light is that it does not follow the traditional version of James Bond. Instead of a fully formed, confident agent, the game focuses on a younger Bond who is still earning his place as an operative.

This changes the entire tone of the experience. Rather than playing as a flawless professional, you are stepping into the role of someone still learning, still adapting, and still proving himself. That opens the door for more grounded storytelling, where mistakes and growth are part of the journey. It also allows players to shape their own version of Bond, rather than simply following a predefined personality.

This approach might have already sparked debate. Some players like the idea of a more human Bond, while others prefer the classic, polished version. Either way, this shift is one of the defining things we know so far about 007 First Light, and it will heavily influence how the story connects with players.

2. Gameplay Blends Stealth, Action, and Social Manipulation

Another major detail among the things we know so far about 007 First Light is its hybrid gameplay structure. The game is not purely stealth, nor is it purely action. Instead, it blends multiple approaches, allowing players to complete missions in different ways. So yes, in this aspect, it does seem similar to Hitman in a way.

You can move silently, avoid detection, and plan carefully like in Hitman, or you can engage directly with combat and use gadgets aggressively. There is also a strong emphasis on social interaction, where blending in, manipulating situations, and using deception become part of the gameplay loop.

This flexibility is one of the most discussed aspects of the game. Some see it as a natural evolution of IO Interactive’s design philosophy, while others worry it could make the experience feel unfocused. Still, this mix of systems is central to the identity of the game and remains one of the clearest things we know so far about 007 First Light.

3. Gadgets Are Not Just Gimmicks

When it comes to Bond, gadgets are not optional, and that is reflected clearly in the things we know so far about 007 First Light. The game puts a strong emphasis on tools like watch-based weapons, dart devices, and other spy equipment, and these are not just for show.

Unlike older games where gadgets felt situational, here they are integrated directly into gameplay. They can be used in combat, stealth, and problem-solving scenarios, making them a core part of how missions are approached.

This creates a more authentic Bond experience, where creativity plays a major role. Instead of relying only on weapons or brute force, players are encouraged to think like a spy and use the tools available to them in smart ways. Among all the things we know so far about 007 First Light, this is one area that feels closest to capturing the true essence of the character.

4. Player Choice and Replayability Are a Big Focus

One of the more exciting things we know so far about 007 First Light is the emphasis on player choice. Missions are designed to support multiple approaches, which naturally leads to replayability.

You can complete the same objective in different ways, experiment with strategies, and refine your approach over time. This is a design philosophy that IO Interactive has already mastered with the Hitman games, and it appears to carry over strongly into this project.

However, this also raises an important question. Does giving players too much freedom dilute the identity of Bond, or does it enhance it? Some players enjoy structured storytelling, while others prefer open-ended systems. This tension is at the heart of many discussions around the game.

Still, there is no denying that this focus on flexibility is one of the most important things we know so far about 007 First Light, and it will likely define how long players stay engaged after the initial playthrough.

5. It Aims to Be a Cinematic Experience

Finally, one of the biggest things we know so far about 007 First Light is its cinematic ambition. The game is not just trying to be mechanically deep, it is also aiming to deliver a strong narrative experience with high production value.

There are clear comparisons being made to cinematic action games, with an emphasis on storytelling, character moments, and set-piece sequences. This suggests a balance between player-driven gameplay and scripted moments designed to create impact.

The challenge here is execution. If the game leans too heavily into cinematic sequences, it could limit player freedom. If it focuses too much on systems, it might lose narrative weight. Finding the right balance is critical.

Among all the things we know so far about 007 First Light, this is perhaps the most important. If the game succeeds here, it could redefine what a Bond game feels like in the modern era.

Final Thoughts

Looking at all the things we know so far about 007 First Light, it is clear that this is not a safe nor is it a fully predictable project. It is attempting to merge multiple ideas, a younger Bond, flexible gameplay, meaningful gadgets, and cinematic storytelling, into one cohesive experience.

Whether it succeeds or not will depend on how well these elements come together. But one thing is certain, this is not just another generic action game. It is a bold attempt to reimagine what a Bond game can be.

And that alone makes it worth paying attention to. And considering the success of the past Hitman games, it is likely that we are not going to be disappointed.

How good is Pragmata? Explore gameplay, story, and what Pragmata reviews say to see if Capcom’s sci-fi hit lives up to the hype.

How good is Pragmata? Explore gameplay, story, and what Pragmata reviews say to see if Capcom’s sci-fi hit lives up to the hype.

Pragmata is a sci-fi action-adventure game developed and published by Capcom, officially released on April 17, 2026. Set on a futuristic lunar research station, the game follows astronaut Hugh Williams and an android girl named Diana after a catastrophic event leaves the station in chaos and its central AI system out of control. Despite being a completely new IP with no established fanbase, Pragmata sold over one million copies in just two days, instantly capturing worldwide attention. That explosive launch has led to one major question across the gaming community: How good is Pragmata, and do the overwhelmingly positive Pragmata reviews truly justify the hype? Let us see below!

A Unique Concept That Actually Feels New

The first thing that stands out about Pragmata is its originality.

In a market filled with repetitive shooters and bloated open-world games, Pragmata takes a bold approach. It combines third-person shooting with real-time hacking mechanics, creating a gameplay loop that feels genuinely fresh, which is why reviewers have praised the game for its originality.

You control Hugh for combat while simultaneously using Diana to hack enemies. This is not optional. You cannot damage several enemies unless you weaken them through hacking first.

This system is the main reason why Pragmata reviews consistently highlight innovation. When people ask how good is Pragmata, the answer often starts with how different it feels compared to everything else.

Gameplay That Demands Focus and Skill

Pragmata is not designed to be played casually.

Every encounter forces you to:

Dodge incoming attacks

Solve hacking puzzles in real time

Precisely target enemies once they are exposed

This creates a fast-paced and tense gameplay loop where mistakes are punished immediately. You are constantly multitasking, which keeps the experience engaging from start to finish.

Many Pragmata reviews talk about this gameplay depth, though some also note that it can feel overwhelming for new players. So when evaluating how good is Pragmata, your enjoyment depends heavily on whether you like skill-based, high-pressure gameplay.

A Surprisingly Strong Emotional Core

One of the most unexpected strengths of Pragmata is its story, which has been hugely praised by reviewers. At its heart, the game is about the relationship between Hugh and Diana. What begins as a survival partnership slowly evolves into a deeper emotional bond.

Diana is not just a side character whom you are supposed to protect. She is essential to both gameplay and narrative, and this is what makes her presence meaningful rather than annoying. This strong emotional connection is a major reason why Pragmata reviews are so positive. Players do not just enjoy the mechanics. They care about the characters.

When discussing how good is Pragmata, many players mention that the story elevates the entire experience.

Visuals, Atmosphere, and World Design

Powered by Capcom’s RE Engine, Pragmata delivers impressive visuals.

The lunar station feels:

Isolated

Damaged

Controlled by malfunctioning systems

The environment design creates a strong sense of tension and mystery. Instead of relying on a massive open world, the game focuses on detailed, carefully crafted areas.

This focused design is refreshing, especially for players tired of empty open-world experiences. Many Pragmata reviews highlight this as a smart creative decision.

Where Pragmata Falls Short

Despite the praise, Pragmata is not perfect.

Some common criticisms include:

Limited enemy variety

Repetition in hacking mechanics over time

Slight pacing issues in later sections

These issues appear consistently across multiple Pragmata reviews, which shows that the game does few have noticeable flaws.

So again, how good is Pragmata depends on what you value more: innovation or long-term variety.

Why the Hype Feels Earned

The hype around Pragmata is not just driven by its marketing, and this will seem obvious once you start checking what actual players are saying.

It is backed by:

Strong early sales (1 million copies in 2 days)

Positive player feedback

A genuinely unique gameplay system

Unlike many AAA titles that rely on established franchises, Pragmata built its success from scratch.

That is rare, and it explains why discussions about how good is Pragmata feel more genuine than usual.

Final Verdict: Is It Worth the Hype?

So, how good is Pragmata in the end?

This game is definitely a bold, creative, and refreshing experience that stands out in a crowded industry. Yes, it might have few flaws, its originality, engaging gameplay, and emotional storytelling make it one of the most interesting releases in recent years.

The Pragmata reviews are not just hype. They reflect a game that takes risks and actually delivers on them.

If you are looking for something different from the usual formula, Pragmata is absolutely worth your time.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced could redefine the pirate experience. Here are 5 key features fans expect from the remake

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced could redefine the pirate experience. Here are 5 key features fans expect from the remake

Few games have captured the fantasy of being a pirate as perfectly as AC Black Flag. From commanding the Jackdaw to exploring a vibrant Caribbean world, it delivered a rare mix of freedom, storytelling, and atmosphere that still holds up today. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake has now not just been confirmed officially, but the release date has been revealed as well, which is the 9th of July. Fans are now looking towards the title Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced with massive expectations.

This isn’t just another remake. It’s a chance for Ubisoft to elevate one of the most beloved entries in the franchise into something truly next-gen. If done right, Black Flag Remake could easily become one of the bestselling Assassin’s Creed games as well as the most memorable experience ever created.

1. Next-Gen Graphics That Feel Truly Alive

The biggest expectation from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced is a full visual overhaul. Fans don’t just want better textures, they want a living, breathing Caribbean. Dense cities, dynamic lighting, realistic ocean physics, and immersive weather systems should bring the world to life like never before.

If Ubisoft delivers visuals on par with modern titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows, AC Black Flag could feel completely fresh again. This is the first area where the Black Flag Remake has massive potential to redefine the original experience.

2. Improved Naval Exploration and Combat

Naval gameplay was the heart of AC Black Flag, but it wasn’t perfect. Movement could feel stiff, and combat sometimes relied too heavily on repetition.

With Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced, fans expect smoother controls, better ship handling, and more dynamic battles. We already saw how Assassin’s Creed Odyssey improved the naval combat to a large extent. Here, we can expect improved responsiveness, smarter enemy AI, and deeper crew mechanics. Since Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake confirmed, expectations are clear. Keep the soul of naval combat but modernize the execution.

3. Deeper Story Expansion for Edward as well as Haytham

Edward Kenway remains one of the most loved protagonists in the franchise. But fans have always wanted to see more, especially regarding his connection to Haytham.

Many players have only see the pirate version of Edward Kenway, as the game revolves only around that part of his life. However, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced is the perfect opportunity to expand his story and show us more, especially his life in London. More character development, additional missions, and DLC expansions about his latter life could elevate the story beyond the original and let us know more about Edward as well as Haytham. If handled well, the Black Flag Remake could feel like a far better version of Edward’s journey.

4. Modern Stealth Mechanics like AC Shadows Level

Stealth in AC Black Flag was fun but basic by today’s standards. AI behavior, detection systems, and player options were limited.

Although AC Shadows has been criticized for several reasons, there is one thing that was definitely excellent and probably better than any other game in the franchise- Stealth! And now with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced, fans can expect a complete upgrade. Smarter enemies, more stealth tools, and greater freedom in approaching missions. Since Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake is the latest game in the franchise, there’s no excuse to keep outdated systems. Modern stealth should completely transform the gameplay!

5. More Sea Creatures and Ocean Encounters

The ocean was already a highlight in AC Black Flag, but it can go much further.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced should introduce more wildlife, rare encounters with sea monsters, more treasure hunts and unpredictable events at sea. From aggressive predators to mysterious ocean moments, this could add a whole new layer of immersion. The Black Flag Remake has a chance to make exploration feel exciting every single time you set sail.

With Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake confirmed, expectations are naturally sky-high. But if Ubisoft gets these core elements right, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced could go beyond nostalgia and become the ultimate Assassin’s Creed experience.

Discover the biggest Crimson Desert Problems players are facing. Read on to know if the game is really worth the hype!

Discover the biggest Crimson Desert Problems players are facing. Read on to know if the game is really worth the hype!

Crimson Desert officially launched on March 19, 2026, after a lot of hype and expectations. Many people expected it to even surpass GTA VI, or even be the new Witcher 3. And the launch?
Massive… but messy. The game pulled in hundreds of thousands of players within hours, but instead of universal praise, it landed with mixed reviews, with players praising its ambition while criticizing its execution.

Instead of just excitement, players immediately started pointing out major Crimson Desert Problems, questioning whether the game lives up to its potential. Or was the hype fueled by marketing and marketing alone. Across forums and reviews, the same debate keeps popping up:

Is Crimson Desert bad, or just tried to be overly ambitious than what players are read for?
And more importantly, what’s wrong with Crimson Desert despite all the hype?

The answer is simple. The game isn’t broken, but it’s far from polished. And at the same time, players are tired of playing games that feel too bloated and long, without much depth in the story and characters.

Clunky and Overcomplicated Controls

The biggest of all Crimson Desert Problems is the control system.

This isn’t just a minor complaint. The complains about the controls in Crimson Desert can seen everywhere. Players describe the controls as unintuitive, awkward, and unnecessarily complex. Yes, they tried to make it deep, but this means that even basic actions can require multiple inputs, making combat and interactions feel frustrating instead of smooth.

This heavily affects Crimson Desert gameplay, especially in the early hours. Instead of feeling fluid, the game often feels like it’s working against the player. The amount of time required to master the controls could be used to play an engaged indie game instead!

That’s why so many players immediately start asking: Is Crimson Desert bad, or is it just badly designed at a fundamental level?

The game throws everything at you!

Another major issue is how overloaded the game feels. Reviews consistently highlight that the game is packed with deep systems, mechanics, and features to the point where it becomes overwhelming.

Instead of guiding players naturally, the game throws everything at them at once. This creates confusion rather than depth. Many players trying to understand Crimson Desert gameplay feel lost, especially early on. The game demands patience, but doesn’t do enough to earn it.

This is another one of those Crimson Desert Problems players are talking about, as ambition clearly goes beyond execution.

Slow and Frustrating Early Game

The early experience is rough. No way around it.

Multiple reports say the game doesn’t really “click” until several hours in, sometimes even beyond the refund window. That’s a serious issue. The complex controls only make things worse.

First impressions matter, and here, the game struggles badly. Between confusing systems and clunky controls, the opening hours feel more frustrating than engaging. Many players report that they have refunded the game within an hour or so.

This also ties into discussions about Crimson Desert performance, as inconsistent smoothness in early gameplay makes things worse.

What’s wrong with Crimson Desert is that when the beginning feels this unpolished, players lose interest in diving any deeper into the game.

Messy and Inconsistent Combat

Combat looks incredible, but it doesn’t always feel that way.

While some players enjoy its depth, many others complain that fights feel chaotic and inconsistent. Camera issues, awkward targeting, and unreliable responsiveness make combat unpredictable.

Critics have also pointed out that the game’s systems sometimes feel “baffling” or poorly explained, which directly impacts combat flow.

This inconsistency hurts Crimson Desert gameplay significantly.

Among all Crimson Desert Problems, this one stands out because the potential is clearly there. It just doesn’t fully come together.

Technical Issues and Poor Optimization

Finally, there’s the technical side.

At launch, several Crimson Desert performance issues were reported, including compatibility problems and hardware limitations. For example, the game does not support certain GPUs like Intel Arc, with some users unable to even launch it.

That’s a poor first impression. Performance issues don’t just affect the game’s visuals. They affect everything. Combat feels worse, movement feels worse, and the overall experience takes a hit.

This is easily one of the most serious Crimson Desert Problems, because no matter how ambitious a game is, poor optimization can drag everything down.

Final Thoughts

After launch, it’s clear that Crimson Desert is one of the most ambitious games, but problem is that it is uneven.

The discussions around Crimson Desert Problems aren’t random complaints. They reflect real issues that players are facing across the world. When people ask is Crimson Desert bad, the answer isn’t a simple yes or no. The game has strong ideas, but inconsistent execution.

If they fix the five things we mentioned above, the game could be incredible. Right now, it’s stuck in that frustrating space where you can see the greatness… but you can also feel the problems every time you play.

Sony may slow down PlayStation games on PC. Is this strategy protecting PlayStation exclusives or pushing PC players away from Sony’s biggest games?

Sony may slow down PlayStation games on PC. Is this strategy protecting PlayStation exclusives or pushing PC players away from Sony’s biggest games?

For the past few years, the arrival of PlayStation games on PC felt almost like a small revolution. For decades, Sony’s biggest titles lived strictly inside the PlayStation ecosystem. If you wanted to experience them, you bought the console. But then things started changing. Suddenly, PC players could experience legendary titles that were once locked behind Sony’s hardware. Games like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn arriving on PC gave many players their first taste of Sony’s storytelling and cinematic design.

Now, however, rumors suggest Sony may be slowing down or even reconsidering the strategy of releasing PlayStation games on PC. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but the discussion has already exploded across gaming communities. From the player’s perspective, the debate is fascinating. Some fans believe Sony should expand further into PC gaming, while others think the company should double down on PlayStation exclusives. The real question is whether limiting PlayStation games on PC protects Sony’s ecosystem or risks alienating a huge audience that recently discovered their games.

The Xbox “PC Console” Problem

One possible reason behind this shift might actually come from Sony’s biggest competitor. Rumors surrounding the next generation of Xbox suggest that Microsoft may push its console even closer to a traditional PC. Some reports even suggest the next Xbox could function almost like a PC that can run storefronts such as Steam.

Now imagine the scenario from Sony’s perspective. If PlayStation games on PC exist on platforms like Steam, and Xbox hardware can run Steam, things suddenly get awkward. In that world, someone could theoretically buy an Xbox console and end up playing Sony titles on it.

From a player’s perspective, that sounds hilarious. Imagine turning on your Xbox and launching God of War like it is just another Steam game. But from Sony’s perspective, that would be a nightmare scenario. Sony’s biggest strength has always been its PlayStation exclusives, titles that convince players to buy the console itself.

Allowing PlayStation games on PC too freely could accidentally blur those boundaries. Protecting the future of PlayStation exclusives might therefore be one of the biggest reasons Sony is reconsidering its PC strategy.

The “Tease Strategy” for PC Players

Another interesting possibility is that Sony’s PC strategy may have always been a controlled experiment. Instead of fully embracing the PC ecosystem, the company may have used PlayStation games on PC as a way to introduce new players to its franchises.

From the player’s perspective, this actually worked. Many PC gamers experienced Sony titles for the first time through these ports. For players who had never owned a PlayStation console, the experience was eye-opening. The cinematic storytelling, polished gameplay, and production quality of Sony’s games stood out.

But this strategy may also have served another purpose. By releasing a few major titles as PlayStation games on PC, Sony could give players a taste of its ecosystem without fully abandoning its console strategy.

In other words, the PC release acts like a preview. A player enjoys the game, becomes a fan of the franchise, and then might consider buying a PlayStation to play the next entry immediately instead of waiting years.

However, this strategy comes with obvious risks. If Sony suddenly stops bringing PlayStation games on PC, many PC players could feel misled. Some might even boycott the company out of frustration. From the player’s perspective, it would feel like being invited to the party only to be told later that the door is now closed.

Protecting Console Sales and their Brand Identity

The most straightforward reason behind limiting PlayStation games on PC is simple economics. Sony makes money not only from games but also from selling consoles and maintaining its ecosystem.

If every major title eventually becomes one of the PlayStation games on PC, many players may simply skip the console entirely. Why buy expensive hardware when patience will eventually bring the same game to PC?.

Beyond revenue and competition, Sony may also be thinking about something less tangible but equally important: brand identity.

For decades, the PlayStation brand has been built on powerful PlayStation exclusives. These games defined the platform. When players thought about PlayStation, they thought about the unique experiences they could only find there.

However, Sony may not necessarily need to abandon PlayStation games on PC completely. A smarter compromise might be delaying the releases significantly. A four-year gap between console and PC launches could protect console sales while still allowing Sony to profit from the PC audience later.

We have already seen this approach before. Titles like God of War and Ghost of Tsushima arrived on PC years after their original launch. By the time the PC version appeared, most dedicated fans had already played the game on PlayStation. Yet Sony still earned additional revenue by releasing the game again.

From the player’s perspective, this delayed strategy feels fair. Console owners get early access, while PC players eventually receive the game as well. Exclusives can be frustrating for many gamers. No one enjoys being locked out of a game because they do not own a specific console. Yet at the same time exclusives are also part of what gives platforms their character.

Nintendo provides a good example. Their entire ecosystem revolves around exclusive games. You buy a Nintendo console because you want to play their titles. Sony may be trying to reinforce the future of PlayStation exclusives in a similar way.

By keeping more titles inside the PlayStation ecosystem, Sony ensures that its console remains the primary place to experience its biggest games.

Development Challenges and Technical Risks

Another factor that rarely gets discussed by players is the complexity of porting games to PC. Creating PlayStation games on PC is not as simple as copying the game files from one platform to another.

Developers must optimize their games for a huge range of PC hardware combinations. Different graphics cards, drivers, processors, and operating systems can all create unexpected problems. From the player’s perspective, this sometimes becomes obvious when ports launch with technical issues. A poorly optimized version can quickly damage a game’s reputation.

For example, Spider-Man 2 faced criticism for its PC version due to performance and technical problems. Situations like this highlight the risks involved when turning console titles into PlayStation games on PC.

Sony may therefore be reconsidering how aggressively it pushes PC ports. Instead of spreading development resources across multiple platforms, the company might prefer focusing those resources on building stronger PlayStation exclusives and protecting the future of PlayStation exclusives.

The Piracy Question

Piracy is another issue that sometimes comes up when discussing PlayStation games on PC. Unlike console platforms, PC games are generally easier to crack and distribute illegally.

From a player’s perspective, however, piracy is probably not the main reason behind Sony’s decisions. Many of Sony’s PC releases have sold extremely well despite piracy risks.

This suggests that piracy is likely a smaller factor compared to strategic concerns such as protecting PlayStation exclusives and maintaining the future of PlayStation exclusives.

How will this affect players?

Ultimately, the entire debate about PlayStation games on PC comes down to how players experience games.

PC players understandably want access to Sony’s incredible library. The arrival of these games on PC allowed millions of players to experience franchises they had only heard about before. At the same time, many console players appreciate the power of PlayStation exclusives. These titles give the platform a sense of identity and make owning a PlayStation feel special.

If we talk from the player’s perspective, the ideal solution may lie somewhere in the middle. Completely abandoning PlayStation games on PC could alienate a huge audience. But releasing them too quickly might weaken the future of PlayStation exclusives.

Sony now faces a delicate balancing act between expanding its reach and protecting the ecosystem that made the PlayStation brand successful in the first place. Whether limiting PlayStation games on PC turns out to be a smart move or a costly mistake remains to be seen.

Discover 7 interesting things about Assassin's Creed Hexe, the upcoming major entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise!

Discover 7 interesting things about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, the upcoming major entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise!

For years, the Assassin’s Creed series has taken players across places all over the world like ancient Greece, Viking-era England, Renaissance Italy and a lot more. Now Ubisoft seems ready to push the franchise into an even stranger but new direction with Assassin’s Creed Hexe. The upcoming title is already generating massive curiosity among fans because it may deliver a setting the series has never explored before. Instead of another big historical playground, this new Assassin’s Creed game appears to dive into the terrifying world of European witch trials. That darker atmosphere alone has made many players excited, especially those who want the franchise to experiment again after years of RPG-style entries. While Ubisoft is still keeping many details secret, leaks, hints and rumors have revealed quite a few interesting things about Assassin’s Creed Hexe. From its rumored horror tone to the possibility of legacy characters returning, this new Assassin’s Creed game might end up being one of the boldest experiments the franchise has attempted in years.

Besed on leaks and rumors, here are seven interesting things that we know so far about the upcoming new Assassin’s Creed game!

1. A Dark Setting During the Witch Trials

One of the most intriguing aspects of Assassin’s Creed Hexe is its rumored setting during the European witch trials. This period, believed to take place somewhere around the 16th or 17th century, saw thousands of people accused of witchcraft and executed across parts of Europe, particularly in Germany.

This grim historical background already sets Assassin’s Creed Hexe apart from previous titles. Instead of heroic battles and large armies, the world may feel far more tense and paranoid. Villages suspicious of outsiders, secret trials, and hidden cults could become central to the narrative.

Ubisoft has never explored a period quite like this before. The witch-hunt era was filled with fear, superstition, and religious fanaticism, which makes it a perfect backdrop for a darker Assassin versus Templar conflict. If executed well, this new Assassin’s Creed game could provide one of the most atmospheric settings the franchise has ever seen.

2. A Female Protagonist Is Rumored

Another interesting rumor surrounding Assassin’s Creed Hexe is the possibility of a female protagonist. Several leaks have suggested that the main character might be a woman named Elsa, although Ubisoft has not officially confirmed this yet.

If the rumors are true, it would fit naturally with the witch-trial setting. Women were often the primary targets of witch accusations during that period. A female Assassin navigating such a hostile environment could create a powerful and unique narrative.

The idea of a female lead is not entirely new for the franchise. Characters like Kassandra and Evie Frye were already popular among fans. However, in Assassin’s Creed Hexe, the gender of the protagonist could be deeply tied to the story itself rather than simply being a gameplay option.

This would make Assassin’s Creed the first major entry in the franchise with a female only protagonist! (We had Liberation, but it was more of a s

That narrative potential is one reason many fans believe this new Assassin’s Creed game might focus more on storytelling and atmosphere.

3. Moving Away From the RPG Formula

Over the past few years, Assassin’s Creed has shifted heavily toward large open-world RPG design. Games like Odyssey and Valhalla introduced massive maps, character levels, and countless side quests. Some loved it. Some hated it, especially fans of the older games of the franchise!

However, rumors suggest that Assassin’s Creed Hexe might move away from that formula. Instead, the developers may return to a tighter experience focused on stealth and strategy. Also, considering the setting, an RPG styled game would not work.

This will be seen as welcome change for players who miss the more focused gameplay of older Assassin’s Creed titles. Stealth assassinations, careful planning, and infiltration missions could once again become the core gameplay loop.

This direction would also make sense given the dark and suspicious atmosphere of the witch-trial era. In such a world, moving quietly and staying hidden would feel much more appropriate than charging into battle like a warrior.

Because of this shift, many fans believe Assassin’s Creed Hexe could feel very different from the previous new Assassin’s Creed game releases.

4. Horror Themes

Perhaps the most surprising rumor about Assassin’s Creed Hexe is the possibility of horror elements. Hints and rumors say that the game could be significantly darker than other entries in the franchise.

The witch-trial setting alone already carries strong horror potential. Imagine creeping through forests at night, secret rituals taking place in abandoned buildings, and entire towns gripped by fear and paranoia. Some leaks even suggest that supernatural themes might play a bigger role than before. While Assassin’s Creed has always mixed historical fiction with ancient technology and mysterious artifacts, Assassin’s Creed Hexe might lean further into supernatural and psychological horror.

If Ubisoft embraces this direction fully, the game could become the most atmospheric and unsettling new Assassin’s Creed game yet.

5. Rumors About Ezio Returning

One of the most interesting discussions among fans going on right now is the possibility of Ezio in Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Ezio Auditore remains one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise, so any hint of his return naturally creates excitement.

However, the timeline makes this complicated. Ezio’s life story concluded in the animated short Embers, where he passed away peacefully in old age. Because the events of Assassin’s Creed Hexe are believed to occur decades later, a direct appearance from Ezio himself seems unlikely.

Still, the rumors about Ezio in Assassin’s Creed Hexe refuse to disappear. Some fans believe the story could reference his legacy or include characters connected to his family.

Another theory is that the game might feature Claudia Auditore, Ezio’s sister, who became an important Assassin within the Brotherhood. If that happens, it would indirectly bring Ezio’s legacy into the narrative.

For now, the idea of Ezio in Assassin’s Creed Hexe remains purely speculation. Ubisoft has not confirmed anything about returning characters. Yet the possibility alone is enough to spark endless discussion within the community. Whether through direct appearance or subtle references, fans clearly hope that Ezio in Assassin’s Creed Hexe becomes more than just a rumor.

6. A Smaller and More Experimental Entry

Another thing we seem to know about Assassin’s Creed Hexe is that Ubisoft might treat it as a more experimental project. Instead of creating another massive RPG like Odyssey or Valhalla, the developers may focus on a smaller but more unique experience.

This approach would allow Ubisoft to experiment with tone, gameplay mechanics, and storytelling. The franchise has been around for nearly two decades, and many fans believe it needs bold ideas to stay fresh.

If Assassin’s Creed Hexe truly takes this risk, it could mark an important turning point for the series.

7. No Official Release Date Yet

Despite all the excitement surrounding Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Ubisoft has not announced an official release date yet. Development appears to still be in progress, which means fans may need to wait a little longer before seeing the game in action.

However, that long development time could be a good sign. Ubisoft seems to be carefully crafting a game that stands apart from the recent entries in the series.

If everything comes together as rumored, Assassin’s Creed Hexe could deliver a darker tone, stealth-focused gameplay, and a setting unlike anything the franchise has explored before.

Also do check out what we know so far about the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake.

Thinking of buying Resident Evil Requiem? Here are 5 important things to consider before jumping into Capcom’s latest survival horror experience.

Thinking of buying Resident Evil Requiem? Here are 5 important things to consider before jumping into Capcom’s latest survival horror experience.

The release of Resident Evil Requiem on 27th February 2026 has quickly turned into one of the biggest horror gaming moments in recent years. As the ninth mainline entry, also referred to as Resident Evil 9, the game attempts something ambitious. It blends classic survival horror tension which we saw in Resident Evil 7 with the modern cinematic action of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 while bringing back one of the franchise’s most beloved characters- Leon S Kennedy.

As per reports, the game has been received extremely positively on Steam, and has also broken records. But before jumping in, players should seriously think about a few important factors. Whether you are a longtime fan or someone entering the franchise for the first time, this Resident Evil Requiem analysis breaks down five key things you should consider before purchasing the game.

1. A Perfect Entry Point for New Players and Veterans

One of the strongest aspects of Resident Evil Requiem is accessibility. You do not need decades of franchise knowledge to enjoy it.

The game introduces FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft as a new protagonist while simultaneously bringing back Leon. This creates a balance between fresh storytelling and legacy appeal. This dual-character structure allows newcomers to understand the world naturally while longtime fans enjoy returning connections to earlier titles.

Unlike some previous entries that leaned heavily into lore continuity, Resident Evil Requiem works both as a continuation and a soft onboarding experience. Critics have highlighted how the game mixes old-school design philosophy with modern storytelling, making it welcoming even if this is your first Resident Evil experience.

So if your biggest question is Should I buy Resident Evil Requiem without playing earlier games, the answer for many players may actually be yes.

2. Two Completely Different Horror Styles in One Game

A major highlight repeatedly mentioned in every Resident Evil Requiem analysis is its gameplay contrast.

Grace’s sections feel heavily inspired by the helpless terror of Resident Evil 7. Resources are limited, enemies stalk you relentlessly, and survival often depends on hiding rather than fighting. Players must sneak, distract monsters, and carefully manage supplies just to stay alive.

Then the game shifts tone completely. Playing as Leon delivers action-heavy combat closer to Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake. You fight aggressively, use firearms confidently, and engage enemies fearlessly head-on instead of running away or hiding.

This hot-and-cold gameplay structure keeps Resident Evil Requiem constantly fresh. One moment you feel powerless. The next moment you feel unstoppable.

For many players, this balance alone makes Resident Evil 9 stand out among modern horror games.

3. Leon S. Kennedy Steals the Show

Let’s address the biggest talking point surrounding Leon S Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem.

Capcom clearly understands Leon’s legacy. Instead of portraying him as just another returning character, the game almost celebrates him. Leon appears older, experienced, and extremely confident after years of surviving biohazard outbreaks.

His gameplay sections intentionally emphasize skill, efficiency, and combat dominance. Fans often describe it as the game “aura farming” Leon, showing why he remains one of the most iconic survival horror protagonists in gaming.

This portrayal matters because Leon S Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem represents the evolution of the series itself. Earlier games focused on survival. Now Leon embodies mastery over the nightmare.

If you enjoy action-horror pacing, Leon’s chapters may become your favorite part of Resident Evil Requiem.

4. Technology, Visuals, and Modern Horror Presentation

Another important factor before deciding “Should I buy Resident Evil Requiem” is technical quality.

Built entirely for modern hardware using Capcom’s RE Engine, the game pushes visual realism significantly further than previous entries. Advanced lighting, ray tracing, detailed character animation, and improved environmental rendering help create extremely immersive horror environments.

The game even allows players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives depending on preference. This flexibility appeals to both fans of modern Resident Evil remakes and players who prefer first-person gameplay.

Early impressions frequently describe the experience as cinematic, polished, and intensely atmospheric, which explains why many critics already consider Resident Evil Requiem among the strongest recent horror releases.

5. Not Everyone May Love the Gameplay Shift

Despite the praise, no honest Resident Evil Requiem analysis would be complete without mentioning potential drawbacks.

First, the tonal shift between survival horror and action may not work for everyone. Some players prefer pure horror like Resident Evil 7, while others want nonstop action similar to Resident Evil 4. Switching styles frequently can feel inconsistent depending on personal preference.

Second, the game follows modern AAA pricing at launch, which may make some players wait for discounts. Since Resident Evil 9 is primarily a single-player experience, its replay value is low unless we talk about how much you enjoy repeated runs or difficulty challenges.

Finally, newcomers expecting constant action might find Grace’s slower horror sections stressful or deliberately restrictive.

These are not completely flaws exactly, but they are worth considering before buying Resident Evil Requiem.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy Resident Evil Requiem?

After looking at everything, the answer to your question “Should I buy Resident Evil Requiem” depends mostly on what you want from horror games.

If you enjoy tension, cinematic storytelling, and alternating gameplay styles, Resident Evil Requiem delivers one of the most complete survival horror packages in years. The combination of helpless fear and empowered combat creates a rhythm rarely achieved in modern horror titles.

More importantly, Resident Evil Requiem respects both sides of the franchise. It honors survival horror roots while embracing the action identity that made characters like Leon legendary.

For longtime fans, it feels like a celebration.
For newcomers, it might be the best modern starting point.

And thanks to the strong reception surrounding Resident Evil Requiem, many players are already calling Resident Evil 9 one of Capcom’s most confident horror entries in recent memory.
